One small piece of advice: be very careful with your Nano!
Whereas I could drop my 3rd generation iPod from 10ft without any problems, not even a scratch (yeh that happened, more than once actually), the Nano really needs to be handled with care!
I got a black 4gig Nano early december. 15 days after I bought it, I picked it up to take it with me to uni and the LCD screen was broken... I never dropped it, or hit it or anything. It was just sitting on my desk or hanging around my neck when in use.
Apparently there are many many people with the same problem. Fortunately I could send my Nano back to Apple and get a replacement, within the warranty. But still - I was highly disappointed with Apple. Still am.
