Play makers like him are aggressed physically and verbally at every official game they play. They're bound to lose at any time, and Zidane has done it twice in 108 caps. I wouldn't call that a "history of losing his temper."
Blame the player all you want for 10 seconds of madness, but to put down the man like some of you are for that only action is just as stupid as the action itself.
Yesterday we just had the confirmation that Zidane is human after all. I'll remember the player for the wonderfull 17 years of career that preceeded those 10 seconds.

Ditto. Zidane has been one of my favourite players for years and years and nothing will change that. He clearly showed the great player he is during this Cup. I'm just sad for him, who knows if we'll ever know what Materazzi said. Whether he was called "terrorist" as I read somewhere else or not. It is just a pity the way his whole career ended, with a red card in the most important match of his life perhaps.
I still think Italy did very well, I have to admit they didn't shine at the beginning and I'd have never guessed they'd end up winning but this is football.
A pity we need to wait 4 years for the next one!
