^^^ Sane people can be violent and commit hideous crimes too. What I meant is, she didn't try to strangle the woman with a limp piece of angel hair pasta - she knew exactly what she was doing. She knew how to cut the child out of the mother, she knew to cover it up, to lie about the baby's origin to the the husband. She was sane. Evil, but sane.

It depends on how they are brought up. If you raised a child to believe that killing was OK and such then they wouldn't feel the need to question it. That doesn't make them insane, just brainwashed, like suicide bombers and such, it's all about mind control and brainwashing.

In this instance though it sounds like the woman was sane enough to know what she was doing, whilst being insane enough to go through with it.
