If someone said that to me after id passed id bite their arm off
Or maybe we´re just cleverer :P

Sorry you felt offended by it, that wasnt my intention at all.
Fortunately Jim knows how to take my comments :P

very good point. My first thought was 'you only need a 50% to pass up there?', but really, I am sure that the tests are not comparable. To get a 50 here, you really only have to put your name correctly on the paper and show every once in a while - which will not get you a pass. Over there, it seems you actually need to know some stuff

Jim, well done, but considering that you hardly studied at all, I do have to say you 'could' do better :P

Jana Germans suck no matter what their pass mark is, you know it, i know it, everyone knows it

Panama, i prefer the term piss on someones bonfire than steal there thunfer but meh

I dunno how comparable they are but the only time people get over 80% for exams here is if they are multiple choice. In 3 years of higher education i've never heard of anyone getting over 80% for a proper exam or essay, it's just not a done thing and a pass is a pass anyways IMO. The percentages there are averaged including coursework.

In my defence Maria, I studied more than i ever have for these exams with the exception of sociology but there you have it, you can pass 1st year sociology barely attending and not studyign one page of the book. Speaks volumes for the "science" IMO. Plus I'm just one of those annoying people that absorbs stuff like a sponge hence why I've got an encyclopedia full of useles sknowledge

Well like I mentioned earlier we only need 40% at JMU to pass, last year on my Architecture course most people managed to get under 60% for projects but this year on my Multimedia Systems course more people seem to be getting 70% (70=A 60=B 50=C 40=D) and on one project I even got an A+ which I can only guess is an 80-90%, I'll just have to see when I get my end of year grades by post (soon hopefully)
