Ouch - that will wear the rest of the grooves too fast.
Well I don't tend to just leave one on there, if it gets stuck I put one on until it gets past that point and then remove it again.

I only have a few records and don't listen to them often anyway.

I wasn't exactly asked, but I find quadratic equations quite useful.

I don't particularly need it in daily life either, but grasping integrals and derivatives gave me some sort of deeper comprehension about how things are mutually dpendent in this world.

I blew two semesters of statistics, cause I rather went drinking with the guys instead of sitting through statistics. Conveniently, just a couple of months before the test, I started dating a math major and he 'helped' me to pass the test (still had to study though - bummer).

Stopped seeing him after I passed the test, but I swear that had nothing to do with it :P:P:P

Hate statistics with a passion - just hate hate hate it -- and math of course too.

to a certain extent but that isn't to say that you'd ever use it again. i can't honestly say that i'm ever expecting to integrate another function in my life. i've taken away an understanding of the subject matter which wil live on a shelf in my brain never to be dusted off

but it isn't necessarily the subject matter that was worth learning. You've acquired the skill of analytical thinking and that you might find useful in many shapes and forms over the course of various careers.

integration isn't really a subject matter requiring much analysis. stats is though, i take your point there.

There were some things that I learned at my high school's radio station that I never really had to do as a DJ or producer. Like cutting tape from a reel and sticking the pieces back together. I remember using a reel machine exactly once. And probably all of my radio skills will go to waste because I graduated, and I don't want to have to go through the stress of making a documentary again.

i didn't quite understand what you meant with regards to the mutual dependency of things. integration to me has given me a basis for work on other subjects but will never be used again. you seem to be thinking of integration in a wider context. do explain....

I got fooled by an April fool joke at work today, a colleage (that used to be a friend ) wrote a fake letter from someone of the housing estate I look after, saying there was a Horse running wild in a garden and my manager wanted me to go out and make arrangements for it to be taken away. Grrrrr I guess you could say the pranker got pranked
