Just found this........ looks a bit more promising

Sheikh to mount Leeds bid

BHS boss to save Leeds
A member of Bahrain's ruling dynasty has confirmed he is still keen to try and rescue stricken Leeds United.
Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa has remained silent since he was first linked with a possible takeover bid, raising questions that he had dropped out of the running.

But the sheikh has now declared he is ready to set up a rival consortium to that of former Leeds deputy chairman Allan Leighton.

Leighton is believed to be assembling a group which includes Philip Green, the entrepreneur who owns British Home Stores and the Arcadia Group.

The Sheikh's consortium is believed to include two Saudi Arabian businessmen and a company based in Asia.

Any group has until 19 January to mount a takeover for Leeds, who have debts of around £80m.

That is the date set by the club's creditors, who will otherwise force the club into administration.

Leeds mean everything to me, I was born to support them

Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa

Both groups have approached Leeds' major creditors to extend the deadline and buy more time to raise funds.

Sheikh Abdulrahman claims to have spent the last two weeks in London, talking with prospective financial partners.

He said: "I have been doing my best to put a bid together.

"There are signs of hope. The more talks I have, the more optimistic I become about a solution."

The sheikh said he has "a passionate desire to re-awaken a sleeping giant."

English-educated Sheikh Abdulrahman said: "I fell in love with the club when I was 11 years old when Leeds played Chelsea in the 1970 FA Cup final.

"It was fated that I should love the club. Whether that fate will determine that I can save them 30 years later, I don't know.

"Leeds mean everything to me, I was born to support them.

"Those who are closest to me, my friends and my family, know what Leeds United mean to me."

The defence is a waste of space. Duberry, Harte (who used to be alrite) and kelly are simply not good enough for the premiership. Its a simple fact and Leeds are finding out the hard way at the moment.
I havnt a clue whats going on behind the scenes im just hoping that weve got a fairy god mother somewhere so save us.

The team is a shambles, its not Eddie Grays fault. I agree about the defence its no coincedence that we havnt one since radebe has been out. It hurts me to say to say it but i think we will bein Div one Next season

Yeh Radebe going has hurt Leeds badly. Any idea when hes fit again?

There is Matthew Killagon (hope I spelt that right) who has broken through to the first team. To be fair to the kid he aint bad at all and is a real prospect for the future (hes even been likened to a young woodgate) but to be thrown straight into a relegation battle isnt ideal for him.

I think your right. At the moment the only place Leeds are going is down. Lets hope that come May we are both wrong!

Im not too sure about Lucas, hes def not out for the season though. The only bring point is we have still to play Wolves, Leicester and Pompey at home so I hope we can pick up points there.

I agree about Killgannon, he looks like a good prospect

im not sure russ, but they need to spend money on a player, are they actually in administration? I cant remember. They need a good creative midfield player who can deliver more crosses and thru balls into the panalty erea where viduka and smith can finish them off and i just think they lack that type of player at the moment. It was the same with everton, we needed someone like that....i didnt think kevin kilbane was going to be the person to do this, but he has had so many man of the match awards sicne he came to the club for inspirational performances! He is by far one of the best buys we have made in a long time and hopefully he and wayne can be the players to keep us away from that dreaded bottom three.
Do you think that will happen though Kev?

Doesnt look like West Ham are going straight back up either, just like Leeds wont if they go down
