And what an awful division it is (I'm a WHU fan).

Doesnt look like West Ham are going straight back up either, just like Leeds wont if they go down

I don't think we'll go up this season, and that doesn't surprise me. Roeder was the wrong man to start the season with- but he was kept on because of his illness and the Chairman couldn't get Pardew in until the new season had begun.
Brooking did well, but people knew his style and how he did things, as he had a spell at the end of last season in charge. However, after the squad "clear out" one of the smallest Premiership squads was reduced to an even smaller 1st Division team.
Pardew has had little money to spend- bought a striker (in case Defoe leaves) and a midfielder (need players there) but the Defence is still very weak, and now we need as new GK. Problem is, I can't see who wants to play for us. (By the way, Kilgallon was great when he was on loan with us.)
I don't blame the new manager for where we are now; he's got his plans and ideas, but having to play loan signings, and cope with injuries and suspensions is not helping him. I think he's trying- and going- to take us up next season. By then, we might be much stronger. After all, we cannot sack him despite his few wins. We've had 3 people lead the team already this season.
