Those in the UK

My parents are leaving in October and heading to Ipswich, England. My uncle lives there, but he and my parents are looking for things to do. They will be there for 2 weeks, but are going to Paris for a few days. They are looking at going to a Fair that is going on, Nottingham I think. My uncle has to work during the time they are there so they want to find some things to do that they could take a train or bus to. Any one got any ideas or suggestions for me to look up? Thanks

they are skipping London, well except for when the land there. We have been there many years ago, so they are looking for some other things to do.
