Christmas we celebrate on Dec/24 not Dec/25 like you. On the evening of Dec/24 german kids wait for the Weihnachtsmann. They have to wait in there room till the parents call them. Until this time parents prepare everything, put on the candles on the christmas tree, put the presents under the tree and put cookies on the table. When the Weihnachtsmann comes, he always asks the kids for a song or a poem. After that he looks at his golden book. There he reads all the good and bad things you did the last year. This can be quite frustrating.Then you get the presents. That's the moment I love most. After that we sit together singing christmas songs and talk.

But that's just a German tradition, not necessarily a full tradition. In the UK and here you celebrate on Christmas morning. Santa delivers presents on Christmas Eve. Otherwise he'd have no time!!!
