Default tragedy of democratic nations!!

it always happens...

the people of india want the war against pakistan for last 30 years..what our minister did..nothing

the people of u.k & u.s.a were against the war that bush was pushing against iraq....what happened?? bush won baghdad & now his eyes are on north korea....

the motto of democracy is for people, with people,by people(correct me,if i"m wrong)....but it doesn"t suit to the current democratic nations...

your thoughts....

if im not mistaken though i know there's lot more to it than this, India and pakistan are arguing over who owns kashmir

i don't see where this post is going.... people r voted into power, they cant please everyone and i'd say the iraqi war was pretty much 50/50 in botht he UK and US as to whop was for and against it.

the thing is people who were for it didnt feel the need to run and shout about it so it wasnt as publicised or noticed.

There was no need, as it was pretty much a foregone conclusion.

And yes they did run and shout about it, our editorial pages and our socialist news media did nothing but run and shout about it. I can't even count the number of times that the local newspaper ran some emotionally laden, logically void argument presented by a middleschool or highschool student who's idea of researching an issue was to watch FOX News. Never once did I see a student's essay about why we shouldn't go to war. There's a small chance that none of the contributors to the paper were against war, but I doubt it.

Default India and pakistan are artificial countries created by theUK

After the second world war, Pakistan spilt into 2, Bangladesh and the other Pakistan.
Kashmir which is mostly muslm however was a thorny problem, the british encouraged the Muharajah of Kasmir to offer his state to India as a result of the independance of the country, howver Pakistan's military refused to accept this, hence the current state of war. However, it was reported in the Times newspaper today that there is now a two week ceasefire in the line of control.Hopefully this will lead to a permanent ceasefire.

Pakistan and India have nuclear weapons now, but the western civilised world should take itself to task and ask why they gave the knowledge and experise to both countries to do so.

wooow!! all u said was right.....i didn"t know anything bout scotland..about ind-pak... i don"t see it"s gonna work out..the only solution i see is WAR...after the wars of 65 & 71....they r constantly sending terorists to india...in pakistan hindus are treated very badly...but in india hindus & muslims live happily together...only ****in leaders fight both the groupes....

I don't see any peace going to happen in Kashmir and Jamu region in near future unless some thing drastic happens. That is pretty much sad, most of our money is going for these cause only.
