Ok, when you started Uni in 97 there were no way near as many people going as there are now. The only way that is feasible is for students to pay a proportion of their degree, i'm going to uni in sept to do a degree in primary education. I have to pay 3,500 where as the government pay £8,000.

Ideally it would be brilliant if university was free but that could never happen with todays numbers. The lib dems are promising to make uni free (if they get re elected by the way, it wont be this time around) but just think of how many places will be slashed!

Man, you say that as though it's a bad thing?

In Manchester we recently had the biggest childrens hospital in europe built, it cost over £500m and looks absolutely fantastic. The NHS budget is also secure under a labour government, the tories and the lib dems both plan on slashing this.

You know very well this was a worldwide ban, it banned the use and production of them. The treaty isnt perfect yet, quite a lot of countries still need to ratify it but its a step closer to the end of a vile weapon
