i refuse to watch any of them - pop idol, fame academy etc on principal.

it sucks that a bunch of people, usually devout of real talent (so yeah, they can hold a tune) but with generally ok looks etc, who are likely to attract 12 year olds get a boost from this kinda thing when the people with the real talent are left to play pubs forever doing covers rather than releasing their own stuff and doing something they love for a living.

maybe i just dont like the fact that they keep stealing half my setlists and so then i of course have jumped on their bandwagon (even though ive been doing those songs since before the concept came to this bloody country )
