you really should. It's no big deal moving away. You get used to it in 10 seconds and i bet you are a scociable person so you won't have any trouble in this direction.
I live 200 km away from home and i love it. And i think i was 17 aswell as i moved...or even younger.

go for it andy...if you want to do techinical theatre just go for it. you are a lot older than your years and you are independent enough now so you can easily live away from home, i can't see that being the problem. its too good an opportunity to miss..and you yourself know it is.

I'll go to a uni next year (no extra exams and no nc, they take everyone who has got an a-level, Abi, bac or whatever you call it, for what I wanna study) but most of it already describes my life perfectly...

i travel right across the city every day to go to uni and could get a flat over there but rent and council tax = less beer money.

unis is absolutely ****ign great admittedly i do have to work harder but as i always say to my mate whos mum and dad r really protective of hima nd dont like him going out much (and for good reasons) this is pretty much thte only time of our life when we get to act like this and get away with it and u dont want to come away from uni seeing it as another couple of years of work u want to think, man that was a long party.

thinking about getting into teaching after uni cos im not totally sure if i could cut it asa chartered accountant.

just bite the bullet. the extra years of training will pay off. i'm trying to get my professional qualifications whilst work with pricewaterhouse coopers and negotiations are in their final stages over whether they'll take me on. ideally i'd have liked to do the charted certified (ACCA) route but it's working out that i'm going to be doing my exams with the ICAEW so just chartered. not that there's much difference but i like to be different!
