i know that the qualifications are different inmscotland which is why i was advised not to apply to any scottish unis. you can basically take a year out and do all your professional level exams then go into work to gain the specified work experience whilst completing your last few exams.

a couple of sites worth looking at. to be honest, it isn't something you need to be thinking bout until you're at least into your second year.

i know but ive already pretty much decided that i want to travel after i graduate (whether id o honours or not depends on if i get a placement in which case u need to do it) i've been seriously thinking about emmigrating too so what would the deal with that be? i guess i'd need to look into international or the american associations?

i'd say america is probably very difficult to get into. not that i'm very up on their policies but if it's anything like australia then there are a lot of criteria that have to be met before they'll consider. i'd consider contacting a big multi-national and see what their policy is for admitting jonny foreigners.

i'm not no. durham don't allow much in the way of work so it's limited to holiday work at royal bank of scotland and the odd night behind a bar. like i said though, i've been onto pricewaterhouse for a while now and i'm hoping to get on with them when i get my degree. yeh, you can go in at technician level with just A levels, which some people prefer.

not much except for the name. two different institutes providing two exams. they're both viewed at the same level i think, it's just some of the examinations have different names and emphasis is put on different areas.

don't quote me on this but i think something like 55% are chartered and 25% are chartered certified
