Default USA: land of the free?
What is legal in one state can get you arrested and put in jail in another. This doesn't sound very 'united', or 'free' to me.

Doesn't freedom include the fact that each state is free to govern in a way that they choose. Within reason of course, but I would think that is part of being free.

We're talking about one country. If it is legal for Derek Bliss to have anal sex in one state, why can he get sent to prison for it in another*? The US is more like a collection of countries, than a collection of states.

Yes, but it is a FREE country. Hence the fact each state is able to create their own laws. If all the laws were dictated to us, how is that freedom?
