Well if people are that stupid and unable to care for their own safety and others, maybe they should. What would you think of a phoning or drinking or eating driver that would eat a close person of yours? That it's ok because you do it too?

Eat a close person of mine? Erk, that would cause some serious indigestion I would imagine.
Ok HIT, I'll edit that you got my idea, don't run away from the question...

I don't think it is okay at all. My point is that driving in general is dangerous, so you should be careful. You can't create a law to fit every occasion. Plus, I never said that I do any of the above. I can't drive and talk on the phone or anything else unless I am in traffic, because NJ people are scary and you must keep an eye on them at all times. It is like the Dukes of Hazzard around here.
Driving is dangerous indeed. I don't see why the give 15 and 16 year olds a license. Very dumb, half of them aren't mature enough to drive.

Go drive in Paris or Rome my friend... who needs lines or traffic lights?

I don't have a license. But I know people my age and how immature they are. I think I am pretty mature for my age.

Lines or traffic lights?? They are ignored around here. Especially since the majority of the people are from India in the town I live in, they seem to have a hard time grasping the basic concepts. No offense of course, but it scares me.

I see what you are saying. People here are the worst drivers in the country last time I heard.

Talking on cell phones is the least of some peoples' bad driving habits. I have friends and I wonder who they paid off to get their licenses.

If I am driving safely, how is it a danger to others? I know how I drive, and I know that in most situations I drive just as well while using my phone as I do when I'm not. Like I said, I wouldn't do it if I didn't think it was safe

check out the stats regarding the use of mobile phones and attention to driving..its rather conclusive.

As much as I agree with others re: mobile phones are not the only dangerous thing people can do while driving, I still think it's very selfish to do it. You need both hands on the wheel. You may be the most skilled driver in the world, yet you do not know about others, and can't control what they do.
