Northern NJ - in Ridgewood. We are very close to the city here - and we certainly take advantage of it. I am so spoiled. I have lived a lot of places (Los Angeles, San Francisco) but I was born here - and I actually came back here to live permanently after my kids were born. Who says you can't go home? LOL Some of us just can't leave New Jersey.

Sounds nice.

I like NJ, especially Red Bank.....though one of the people I was with insisted on visiting Jay and Silent Bob's comic store every other day so that got a bit boring!!!

Question for American Sports fans

Dunno if anyone can help me with this one, im gonna look into it more nearer the time. Id love to see some sort of sporting event over there, weather it be a BAsketball match, American Football, Baseball etc. Il obviously have to check what on when im over there but do events like these tend to sell out far in adavnce?

Baseball will be into playoffs or quite possibly done for the season by the time you get here, Carli. I know you didn't mention it, but you would probably be able to get hockey tickets no problem - with there being a few teams in the relative area. I don't know about basketball or football though.

The New Jersey Devils (hockey) have moved from Continental Arena to the New Prudential Center in Newark - which is where we are going to the concerts. I doubt they'll be having games there during that period of time.

You can always check The Rangers (the New York team) to see if they will be playing.

And you can check the Madison Square Garden website as well and Giants Stadium website. There might be some sports at Madison Square Garden and there might be football at Giants.

have you ever watched baseball on the tv? it's excrutiatingly slow and laborious.

if you want somethign that won't bore you to tears and you won't need a drink to keep you occupied throughout i'd try and get tickets for a knicks game

Baseball can be slow and tedious but a live game is always a treat. Lots of munchies and beer on a nice day in the ballpark can't be beat.

Baseball looks about as fun as golf.
So Yeah, it's a bit boring to me. But if you enjoy watching golf or playing golf, then perhaps you'll also enjoy baseball.
