In theory you are right, by going to war you are disturbing the peace. However, in principle, I think you can go to war to defend peace, if there is an agressive fource, who is building and is a deffinate threat to the world. Then by going to war early, you are able to prevent a future problem. Apeasement doesn't always work.

However, I don't think this is the case her, I don't think they are defending the peace, and I think they are mad

this is about me, and everyone else here, we dont hate americans, but it's not very sensible to sit and watch them kill us everyday...
Sharon? Arial Sharon (or however you spell his name)? Same one? His lack of respect for life runs farther than Palestinians it seems. I'll check this out, see if I can find news on the american protester.

I stand against Bush. Even if that means I stand with his enemies, I stand against him. I'm only sixteen, so I don't know what I can do (and even if I was eighteen, all I can do is vote). I argue it out with friends, try and convince them Bush is as big an airhead and a threat to world peace as I think he is. Haven't convinced anyone though.

Hi:
Thanks for the article. I caught another article in the paper. Arial Sharon is a butcher, pure and simple. I have other views on the Palestine/Israel thing, but I don't think anyone wants me to elaborate...

Move to Iraq then, being US and England are out.

No offense, but if you hate being a US citizen, do something about it. Move.

i said i hated being a US citizen right now -- as in at this moment. I just absolutley hate being under Bush's control. Once he's gone/the war's over, hopefully everything will calm down here.
And if i could move, then i would. But, alas, i'm 16 years old. What am i going to do? Hitchhike to Sweden?

Okay, i see now. It's just a really hard time for me. I have a family friend who's over there, and haven't heard from him for weeks. And a friend's boyfriend (who also has a friend over there), who i'm scared for...So i hope it's understandable why i feel that way. This is going to sound like i'm contradicting myself, but i'm proud to be an american, but not at this time right now. It's just the war that's messing me up and everything. Once i know my friends will be alright and live to see their next 50 birthdays, i'll stop with my little attitude problem against the US. Anyone who has friends/family over around Iraq, probably feel the same way. They only want them back.

Sorry Moosie that I came off like that. I hope your friends are safe, and I can understand your frustration. I was just annoyed because even though we might have a "crazy" president, there are people in other countries who have it a lot worse.
Like I said, hope all is well and you hear from your friend soon.
