Sorry, I can't empathise with something like this. Just as I can't empathise with a rapist.
I do however believe that Amazon is doing nothing wrong in this instance, although it is sick and disturbing that people actually buy the book.

i doubt people buy the book for pleasure. just as you would buy a book about a serial killer (i have numerous), people are buying this to get into the minds of these people and to try and understand what makes them tick.

Maybe so, or maybe I just have a little less faith in man (in general!!) to believe that all of the people who want to buy it are doing research. The books I have on serial killers are of specific serial killers, not what makes a serial killer tick.
I just really think it's sick that people would want to buy a book on violating a child. If you're interested in that I think you need help. Children are not sexual objects and to even think that or want to know why someone thinks that is disgusting.

Exactly - it's a sick subject to be writing on; encouraging peodophiles! disgusting!

I have I think one serial killer book - and that's Portrait Of A Killer: The Jack The Ripper Story...or something along those lines of a title; But that book was not on trying to get people to feel sorry for him, and try to take him in as being misunderstood...It did get you to understand him and why he did what he did, and who Jack the Ripper identity really was, but in no way tried to get you to feel sorry for him.

This book claims to let parents understand the LOVING relationship between a child and an adult, i don't think it will!!!!! And i can't empathise with them, like i said i watched the results of the actions of one of these bastards cause a grown man to break down and sob his heart out, what makes it worse is it was my dad who was crying, so i can't empathise on bit with these people

Okay Serial Killers are cold and calculating, as are lots of murderers, but you can also murder someone in a moment of madness, in a heated argument etc, its not right but anyone can lose their temper. And justice must be served. But not EVERY murder is committed in cold blood

However, these gits are ALWAYS cold and calculated they plan and plot, the people who ask for empathy have to ask if they would feel the same way of they had children and they knew one of these people lived next door!!!

I agree with your assessment. I just defend Amazon's right to sell the book. I'm not big on empathy for people who damage other people (and children at that).

Kathleen, I have no problem with Amazon selling the book, I think that is their right and I wouldn't boycot them for doing so. I just have a problem with the fact that someone actually wrote this book and that people actually buy it - that's where the problem lies, not with Amazon selling it.
