Well, you could always visit Room 7350, - 935 Pennsylvania Avenue
- Washington, DC 20535, USA - (202) 324-3000 to see for yourself if its true. My guess is its a prank, someone masquerading as the FBI to have a few laughs at others expense. Interestingly enough, if you found the creep that did this, you could turn him over to the FBI for impersonating a federal agent, which is a felony. Two other things which tipped me on to it being a prank is its "formletter" appearance, and the fact that it didn't come to your main email account (I'm guessing here that jovimail isn't your main account, that you've got an email account with your ISP). Not only that, but they'd probably snail-mail you a letter first, and/or show up at your door. If this happens, don't let them into your house until you make sure they have a warrant, and have called the judge that authorized it. Can't be too careful.
However, the FBI does have the technology to scan your computer remotely. Something called the "Green Lantern" virus. It slips past your virus program and compiles a list of all your keystrokes, which it uploads to the FBI. Very scary stuff. Don't take that for granted but there's a one in a million chance that it's really the FBI. I think its a prank. Try and find out who did it, and hand 'im over to the proper authorities.
