Yes, I think people have this image of Jon as this goody-two-shoes, which just isn't true. Thank goodness the man has some personality!
I wouldn't want him any other way. Much Ado About Nothing is the perfect term. I bet you won't see them not go to Giants because of it, so if that is the case accept it and move on.
