Here is another one for the UK - This is a joke (in most places) - just showing our ability to laugh at ourselves:

You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, .........but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed a British citizen, any British Citizen.

So an Australian dentist wrote the following to let everyone know what a Briton is, so they would know when they found one.

"A Briton not a term we like to use - English, Welsh or Scottish & we all hate each other. In fact, we English hate everyone. We even hate the ppl in our next town (Bloody Derby scumbags - sorry Mr Bluesman).


A Briton is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are so few immigration controls in this counrty - u could be martian. The only difference is that in Britain they are free to worship as each of them chooses, even if they get lots of abuse for it. A Briton is also free to believe in no religion - in fact, most do......... For that he or she will answer only to himself - or whoever is paying their next pay check

Britain is the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the wars we fought, which recognizes the fact that we could have what we wanted by using force & spreading our righteousness around.

A Briton is generous. Britains have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need & r still collecting the interest payments.

Britain welcome the best, the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best athletes but rarely produces them. But they also welcome the least if only for a laugh. The national symbol of Britain, the Queen, in the soveireignty's most irrlelevant period of history. These in fact are the people who built America. Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11 - but far more died at the hands of Irish Terrorists, earning a better life for their families & even more died on the Titanic - THOSE icebergs are hiding Weapons of Mass Destruction Dammit. I've been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 other countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists - i.e all of them - but we'll make sure we get them all...or if not...ppl who look like them.

So you can try to kill a Britain if you must. So did Hitler, and Stalin, and Napolean, and every bloodthirsty tyrant in the history of the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Without the English the world would be Boring - & there'd have been no Football.

They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an Briton as is everyone who lives on Beer.

without england there'd be no zeppelin, floyd, cream, stones, deep purple... and thus no bon jovi, iron maiden etc etc etc...

we used to creat great music... but once we stopped so did the rest of the world.

UK bands may have liked elvis... but many of them were completely independent of his influence...

without robert johnson and blues/jazz where would elvis have been...

Okay, you got me. I have no idea who the heck Robert Johnson is. But Elvis did influence the all mighty Beatles.
