Sh*t I'm F scared of spiders too, especially the hairy thick ones that are in the tropical forest (I'm sure I would die if I was face to face with one of those), but even the most innocent thinnest little ones get to me. I have to say that I hate pretty much all insects (bees, beetles, hornets etc etc). Flies bug me rather than scaring me.

In a way I'm afraid of height, but that excites me you know. I "like" to look out the window of a tall skyscraper

You must be kidding. Right? You are?

Right?

Are you?

For the record, Kokkola has 35,000 people and Tampere 200,000 people.
No.
I'm
not
kidding.

I've wondered that myself, why am I more afraid of being attacked in my small home town than the bigger town I live in, but I can't tell you. I guess it's because in Tampere I'm almost always in the centre or close to that, there are always people around. But in Kokkola I'm all over the place, and when there aren't people there isn't anyone that can hear you if something happens. That might be one of the reasons. Plus of course all the things that have happened there...

i'm afraid of skinheads with broken bottles walking around places like wolverhampton at 3 in the morning when i'm waiting for my coach to go home after a rock concert

heights but not all heights... i was fine up the eiffel tower etc... but there was one place in france i went (i think in Provence) where this man used to throw people off this cliff (i think it began with a V or an M) and that scared me...

i'm also scared of getting cut off by the tide since that happened in Newquay a few years ago to me - scariest moment of my life

i'm not really scared of anything else really... i'm not too afraid of heights but i'm terrified of people walking near the edges of cliffs or anywhere where there is a "drop"... or even too close to the kerb on roads...

Me too. Just thinking about it now is giving me the creeps. Also, I'm very afraid of fires. Not a fire in a fireplace or a camp fire. But afraid my house is going to set on fire and all my stuff will be destroyed. I worry about lots of other things, but those are my only real fears.

I have all kinds of phobias. Firstly, I'm afraid of flying. I'm sure that the plane will crash any minute and everyone's going to die. I'm even more afraid when the plane is above a sea. The most dreadful way of dying I could imagine is drowning. I've heard that it's actually pretty painless but how can anyone know that That's why I don't want to go to America or Australia, the flight would seem to last forever because I can't relax.

I'm also afraid of ferries (because of the drowning thing) but not as much.

I used to be afraid of elevators. I took the stairs to 10th floor if it was needed. Hopefully we don't have any skyscrapers in Finland But that phobia just disappeared one day. And it's not as bad with the plane thing as it used to.

So, what are your phobias?

Taija
how are you travelling to the UK then ???

We're swimming there.
I think I'm gonna have to give Taija a generous doze of sedative every now and again - we'll take a ferry once and a plane several times in the trip... Plus all those tunnels in the Alps... Anything for Bon Jovi, I guess...

(*hush*)Don't talk about those things - it's bad enough as it is, without thinking about everything that has happened... But then again, people get run over by a car in their home street... Anything can happen.
