i know. i had a tumor last year, they removed it and it wasnt too dangerous, i.e. i would not have died but even that was very frightening and then my granny died which was a shock for me because she had always been very lively ...

Yeah... you get remember that death can come and get you (or your loved one) when youleast expect it.

so like people: "live your life like if there's no tomorow!"

I guess the same thing could happen to me too.

And I'm always afraid when walking alone that someone's going to attack me Not of course in the middle of the town in the middle of the day but in bigger cities when it's dark.
Yeah - this scares me - mainly 'cos its happened... but when I see a gang of youths walking towards me when I'm on my own - I tend to turn & walk the other way.

Apart from that - not much I don't think apart from heights a bit .

I have all kinds of phobias. Firstly, I'm afraid of flying. I'm sure that the plane will crash any minute and everyone's going to die. I'm even more afraid when the plane is above a sea. The most dreadful way of dying I could imagine is drowning. I've heard that it's actually pretty painless but how can anyone know that That's why I don't want to go to America or Australia, the flight would seem to last forever because I can't relax.

I'm also afraid of ferries (because of the drowning thing) but not as much.

I used to be afraid of elevators. I took the stairs to 10th floor if it was needed. Hopefully we don't have any skyscrapers in Finland But that phobia just disappeared one day. And it's not as bad with the plane thing as it used to.

So, what are your phobias?

Taija
how are you travelling to the UK then ???
We're swimming there.
I think I'm gonna have to give Taija a generous doze of sedative every now and again - we'll take a ferry once and a plane several times in the trip... Plus all those tunnels in the Alps... Anything for Bon Jovi, I guess...
i remember those tunnels under the alps... wasn't there a fire in one once and noone could get out??

last time i went through them there was a motorcycle accident and so we were stuck in a traffic jam for hours... it was awful ... there were pools of blood all over the floor
And the Gotthard too last year I think (besides the Mont-Blanc as Jess said)
