I don't think she writes feel good books only. I've read Quentins, it is a story of the history of a town told by people who visit a restaurant. Very good written. A novel is not always "sugary"!

My sister likes her books a lot! I've been meaning to try and read something by her to see what it's like, but some other book always comes in the way :P

Today I just started "Not the End of the World" by Kate Atkinson. It's a collection of short stories. So far so good. I love the way this woman writes, describing atmospheres without using real descriptions, using wonderful words. And a very original kind of humour. I recommend her books to anyone!!!
