I know! I do the same, I usually just skim over it when my friend's do it  , but if I am in a chat room and people start saying ppl - I start going on about how people are just going to start talking in numbers and letters, and how its really not that hard to type the full word. |
The one that really got me was gr8 and str8.. took me forever to work them out! Didn't save any time at all in the end, as I'm trying to work out what people are saying to me!!
