That's a real chore.

This bat came pre prepared due to my unwillingness to knock it in! I used to have a county reflex about five or so years ago, served me well!! Yeah iv heard of the lancashire league alright, you a batsman or bowler? I play for a local town called coleraine here in northern ireland. Take it the north west league nothing to you, its mainly consists of a pile of farmers trying to hit the ball as far as they can! Ive been playing there since I was about 8 or 9 aswell!

Cool. No I haven't heard of your league. I started off as a batsman but since then I've grown tall and broad and cal bowl pretty fast so I'm mainly a bowler who bats. All the bats seem to come pre-knocked in now. All bats are pressed anyway and I like to knock them in for an hour or two anyway, just in case.

Yes it is - I have been reading the New Yorker since I was a kid - it was always in my house when I was growing up. This Christmas my daughter gave me "The Complete New Yorker" - all of the issues back to 1925 on 8 DVDs. That made a perfect present as far as I was concerned.

Yeah - I knew little about that magazine but now I'm starting to think it must be great. Coincidentally and completely unawares yesterday my sister gave me The Complete Cartoons of the New Yorker. A huge, great book too. I'm really happy about my discovery

Back to my presents yesterday I had a lot:

- Lots of books
- Stationery items
- The latest CD by Spanish band Marlango. I love it - they sing in English incidentally.
- A cute top
- A cute scarf
- A pair of earrings
- A watch

And a camcorder for my mum, my dad and me

I also went with my boyfriend to the theatre the other day with the ticket he gave me and it was great. We had a fabulous time.

cool stuff. do you still do the santa thing over there for the kids? out of curiosity.

I realised I've not posted in here myself. a bit late but I got some really cool things but the absolute best is a book my sister got me full of pictures and letters from world war 1 soldiers.

I've only read the 1st 2 chapters where wars broke out and they're all signing up and it's actually really difficult to read all these young guys writing to their girlfriends or int heir diary's about how they're going to kick jerrys ass and be back home for christmas because gods on their side. it really is harrowing.

We have the Three Wise Men. On Christmas Eve traditionally it's the Child Jesus that brings a little something. But more and more people are starting to have Santa bring their presents on Christmas day. I can't say I like it - The Three Wise Men rock
