Default What has happened to football???

from the match inter- ac milan

you can't blame the referee for that one- even if he's german ( ) it's the so-called "fans" who created this and it wasn't cause of wrath against the referee, it was an act of sheer violence. hope that the UEFA sets up a draconic punishment against those bastards. and i hope that the team-bosses open their eyes to see what's going on here. football is a GAME not a WAR!!!

exactly. anything like that is bang out of order no matter how severe or not.

it's diabolical and IMO italy has the worst fans with greece and turkey not far behind. Even if englands got a bad rep for it, large fights are incredibly rare here now and the only game i remember being cancelled for violence here was when they played the republic of ireland in 95 or 96

Good one!

All I meant was that nothing has happened to football. It has been like this for ages. I remember 1994 when some Columbian player was shot after the WC because he missed a penalty, I think it even was against Romania.
And remember World Cup 1998 and the England vs. Germany battles.
Or even AS ROMA against Dinamo Kiev last Fall. Remember how Frisk was bleeding?
All I meant was that incidents like that have been happening for years and the night in Milano was rather harmless compared to some other nights in football.
Luckily for you, you didn't have to face Steaua Bucharest fans in the last decade because they are really the most fanatic fans in the world...and I am a Dinamo Bucharest fan ...
Dinamo Bucharest fans are actually also quite crazy. Do you know the Little Mermaid Statue in Copenhagen? After Romania lost the qualification in Denmark they ripped the mermaid's head and dressed it in a Dinamo Bucharest shirt....quite amusing I think even if the statue is one of Copenhagen's symbols.

That is just awful. I don't see the point at all. If they're so fanatic why would they want to miss half of the match? Silly people who don't know how to have proper healthy fun!
