I manage a bar for a couple who love owning one but have no desire to be tied down to it all the time. It's not at all what I went to college for but it's what I've been doing for 15 years or so. The hours suit me, it worked out well when my son was little, the atmosphere is good, the money is aalright, although I made more when I managed upscale hotel bars. I'm considering moving back to a large city and going back to the hotel bar thing, I think it suits me better now.
Hmm.. if I could do anything?? I'd like to be financially well off enough that i could just do volunteer work like Habitat for Humanity( i do like one a year now) or literacy programs and things like that. i don't mean writing checks, i would really like to be able to participate in these programs.

At the moment, I'm unemployed. I've got over a dozen applications in, and 5-6 sound like they might turn out - a couple video stores, an office supply store, and a music store (this one I'm really excited about, I've had the good fortune to talk to the manager several times, and he seems positive about my prospects of even just getting an interview).

Prior to this, I ran a concession stand for a local high school for four summers. Awesome work.

I have a Master's Degree in English Translating & Interpreting, and at the moment I'm working as a Technical Writer for an international translation/localisation company. It's certainly not my dream job but it pays the bills, sorta kinda anyway. Plus in my current project, the people I work with are just the best.

I am an IT manager or at least the closest thing we have in IT Management in Greece.

Which means I administer the network, the firewall, the software, the hardware, the personal home computers for my boss and her brothers and sisters, the web site, I make the drawings for the new products, I scan photos and generally anything computer related. Sometimes I sweep the floor as well !!!!

I would love a job that would let me expertise in one direction butr that's rather hard in Greece since everyone wants an all around guy.

+ some added questions (I don't work for the FBI don't worry )

do you like your daily work ? is your job fitting with what you studied at school or university? what kind of job you would have love to have if you could use a time machine or a make a wish machine ....
Well, if you've asked first, I think I can ask too:

would you like to have a hause or an appartman in Croatia?

I teach English at a middle school. My students are 11 and 12 years old. I like my job, although I always say that my students are "hormonally challenged" so they can be a bit difficult to deal with at times. It is never boring though.

When is your last day of school this year? Our kids end around May 18 and have to come back August 4. I'll finish the last week of May and go back July 18. What happened to summer vacation?

Oh my! I wouldn't like that. You don't get much of a break at all!!

We end on June 16 this year. Then the teachers have to be back on Sept. 2, just for workshops and to set up the rooms. School officially starts on Sept. 6.

There was a big controversy because the teachers were supposed to start Sept. 1 and the students on the 2, but parents complained that they didn't want the kids to start school until after Labor Day. It is not like you have the ENTIRE summer to vacation or anything.
