What is the worst injury you have ever experienced?

Mine is 20-30 (in total) dislocations of both knee caps. It hurts.

I had my head cut off once, but the doctors managed to get it back on pretty swiftly, lol.

I don't think I've ever had a "serious" injury. I guess I'm pretty lucky then.

I have had 4 operations (including a total reconstruction) on my left knee, cartilage removed from my right knee and bone fragments removed from my right ankle. I suffer from osteo-athritis in my left knee. My Ortopedic surgeon has told me that in 5-10 years I will need to have my left leg completely rebuilt and reshaped. I can't wait for that! I have also broken my right wrist and thumb as well as my left index finger. I have also broken ribs. Add to that numerous head cuts. All of these injuries were sustained playing football. On a more serious note I have had 2 skin cancers cut out of my chest, one out of my lower back and lately my temple. As you can see, doctors love me!

You should live in the US, they will love you even more. The insurance company will hate you though.

If we're talking about illnesses, I have had meningitis, a hernia (removed by an operation), and a failed knee operation.

Yeah, and they play football with so much padding that I may not have suffered the injuries in the first place! :P

Think my worst injury would have to be coming out of a football match with a broken right wrist, broken ankle and being knocked out all in the one match. I've also broken my right wrist 5 other times, broken the thumb on my right hand as well, got osgood schlatters disease in my left knee and have torn the ligaments and tendons in both ankles sooooo many times now, lol, also chipped the bone in my right elbow and broken my collar bone on the right side

I broke my ring finger playing basketball, but the most continuously annoying injury I have is a shoulder injury that constantly reflames despite months of physical therapy. I have chronic pain and sometimes flare ups of muscle spasms that hurt like hell. I got that from climbing trees and swing on ropes in Adventure Based Counseling's rope course. :P
