gosh, there is a lot of pain on this board!!!!!!!

The worst injury I've ever had is very minner. I strained something in my wrist learning to play Hoedown..... this meant that playing organ was slightly painful for about a year... but it was worth it

The only other 'injury' I've experianced was after a Steve Vai concert. It was unbelieveably loud, and I ended up (by chance) standing virtually in front of the speaker system.... I had a slight rignging in my ears for about 6 months after that.

i had a migrain in yr 11 which was MASSIVe for 3 straight days and even the tough panadol stuff wouldn't budge it so the doctor sent me to hospital just to get something for it and the smartarse doctor thought 'hey she must have meningicoccel (dunno how to spell..!!)' and decided yes, i'll give the poor little thing a lumba puncture (needle in the lower back to remove fluid to test for disease - requires you rolling up into a tight ball while they insert a massive needle into your back) However the anesthetic didn't work and the doctor - after giving me too lots decided that it must have worked and proceeded ne way and i SCREAMED THE HOUSE DOWN!!! after two FAILED attempts and unimaginable pain i was left with massive inflamation and an inablity to move my legs....so i was transported to a BETTEr hospital in the city were i had to stay for a week (convienently the week of my exams ) until it went down and i was able to move again - but for nearly a year after i had alot of back pain - wish i'd sued the bastards....dunno why they have to make ti so hard to sue doctors!!!!

True, and your probably right he was a bad doctor. But it's also possiable that he simply ****ed up, everybody does it from time to time....

Probably making a complaint the hospital, or whoever he's answerable to would have been a better solution to sueing. If he's a bad doctor he should be sacked, if it was a one of then he should be awear of the effects his error had....

Sueing a doctor is like sueing a teacher, or a policeman, or fireman for getting something wrong. They generally do work very hard, and are largely overlooked by society (and also for the work they do, underpayed). So lets cut them some slack

Also, I really do believe that we should report a doctor if we feel they have failed to do their job. I live about a 15min walk away from Harold Shipmans practice, and when I was a kid, he was my doctor. I don't know how well reported he was in other countries, but he killed huge numbers of people (believed to be into 100's) by issuing lethal doses of morphen to people. If somebody had complained about him early, and had his case looked after, then he would have never been able to kill so many people..

Great topic! I just sprained an left-ankle once, and my right-big toe. That's all. I'm a lucky person I guess.

I sprained my ankle badly once after a bloody italian fouled me, I was going full tilt, 2 yards from the goal and he just took me out. The ref was a mate of mine, he just laughed! argh

I hurt it again about 2 months ago when I fell off a curb in Wales...yes I was drunk
