what would you do in this situation? UPDATED

basically they want to give me something to kill a pathogen they found in my stomach (which is completely unrelated to what i went for... as is everything else theyve diagnosed :S) the way to do this apparently is to poison me with this stuff in the hopes that it kills it.

side effects go from the normal headache and nausea to convulsions, IBS, anorexia, hypersensitivity, weakness, loss of feeling, liver damage, blood disorders...... there are loads others too....
i wont get all of them....

i already have some of them and i dont have a good track record with side effects

What is the name of the medication you are suppose to take?

You could call any chemist and ask if you could get it in elixir form (liquid form) or look it up on an internet search.

When having difficulty in taking pills, eat a piece of a banana first or something sweet this will produce more saliva in your mouth , then directly put the pill in your mouth and swallow with a sweet flat (non carbonated) drink, ie lemon squash.

have to take it with/after food, so its gonna go in some mashed potato i think... and hope i can actually fool my body.... (ive got a feeling i react to something in them... prolyl the magnesium stearate)

picked them up today. gonna start them next saturday (after my birthday) as im not allowed to drink alcohol at all for ages once i start.

I have just checked and you can get that medication in in an oral suspension metronidazole benzoate. Ring up your GP and ask them to write you another script as you cant take tablets.

You should NOT crush these tablets up , tablets are made in such a way to dissolve into the system at a certain rate, crushing them up may make them dissolve incorrectly quicker than they should and this could make you sick.

hospital agree im not going to get better. they dont know how long ill last either- depends on results of latest tests.

thats all that needs to be said really.

im okay with it though after the initial panic.

Do they not know exactly, is that why the list is so long, is it a guess list?
