whats a soulmate?

I genuinly believe that we all have more than one soul-mate. As Neil said, with billions of people on this planet, the chances of you finding 'the' perfect soul-mate is quite slim. I think in todays age with the powers of the internet, it is MUCH easier to find a person who shares the same interests and thinks in the same way(s).

You would be surprised just how much each of us has in common with each other (Compared to your 'local' friends), even just on this message board. There (for me at least) are certainly people who I am extremely close to on here, and that is as close to finding a soul-mate that you will probably get.

ive thought ive found mine many times but i dunno, maybe the answer is always right under your nose, who knows maybe its meant to be like that

A soul mate...the soul…the spirit...it’s not something that can be proved by science…maybe for a reason?

All living things have a spirit…and a most have a soul too. It’s not something that science can explain…ie: why a cat or dog will comfort a human when they are un well .ie: Why sometimes you feel as though you know someone, but it’s the first time you’ve met.

I see individuals as multifaceted. Like a cut diamond. Every now and then you meet someone that perfectly fits a certain facet sometimes more than a few facets….and when you do it’s like ESP…an unspoken understanding…a bond….that you’d find hard to express in words..and science couldn’t begin to work it out.

Someone mentioned about folk with mental illness with regard to the soul and using them as an example to prove that the soul is non existent .
I’ve spent time with a lot of with people of varying mental illness. Just because they cannot communicate on a level that the majority can understand, does not mean they do not have a soul! In a lot of cases they seem to have a more honest/intimate relationship with their inner selves.

At the same time, so called sound minded folk seem to have spent a lot of their life conforming to the expectations of society…. and losing touch with their inner self along the way.

I don't think soulmates exist. (Note coming outta a BAD breakup) I thought I had found mine, and well i was proved wrong.

Bu tif they did exist, it would be someone who understood you, who accepted you, and who loved you no matter what. And with the number of people out there in the world? it could be someone on the other side of the world, or right next door.

i thought i had found my soulmate.

turned out it was just my reflection.
