I genuinly believe that we all have more than one soul-mate. As Neil said, with billions of people on this planet, the chances of you finding 'the' perfect soul-mate is quite slim. I think in todays age with the powers of the internet, it is MUCH easier to find a person who shares the same interests and thinks in the same way(s).
You would be surprised just how much each of us has in common with each other (Compared to your 'local' friends), even just on this message board. There (for me at least) are certainly people who I am extremely close to on here, and that is as close to finding a soul-mate that you will probably get.
