When it's old people that are dying there isn't always anything they can do to prevent it, their bodies just give up on them when it gets so hot like that.

That said, on a day when it was over 100F here, I saw an old man walking with a long sleeved shirt, vest, tie, jacket and long trousers on. He was wearing some kind of light green uniform, so I guessing he used to be in the army and thinks it's not respectable to leave the house without it or something. Silly man.
