Aloha !

I rarely drink because I don't like alcohol thát much. Last wednesday I've had my first beer in about 3 months I think. I think that al together I haven't drink more then 10 bottles of beer in my entire life.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I'll have a drink socially since I found something I actually like (Malibu rum with pinapple juice), but I could go forever without it. Alcohol doesn't hold any major appeal to me. I hate being around drunks.

I rarely drink socially but I sure would miss a glass of wine with dinner at night. If I had to though - for health reasons perhaps - I could stop drinking easily.

10 yrs now. I do miss the taste of martini sometimes but apart from that I dont miss it at all. Dont really see the point to drinking, well excessive drinking anyway.

Default drinking alcohol

it's a cultural thing but , in the UK per capita of population we drink more pints of alcohol than on the continent.
Very few latin european countries drink beer, they like France or Greece drink wine.
therefore you don't get the british mentality of drinking beer to excess every day of the week.
I don't know about the states but in countires like Scandinavia (extreme cold) or Spain (very hot), it is obvoius that drinking by brits on the same scale and frequency as in britain would lead to severe circumstances- hypothermia, heat exposure ext.
that mean that in the UK we can drink as much as we like 24 hours a day most of the year without suffereing what our continental friends suffer.
Ps, i have never gone out with a woman who refuses to drink- miserable cows most of them, in my experiance- maybe okay for other women who like to meet religious freaks and mothers boys. not for me. My ex wife was not much of a drinker mind you thats why shes my ex!

well the most time i have gone without drinking is about six weeks when I was in the army, and that was because of the lack of a boozer in Belize.

I'm with Mouse...although I'm inclined to drink hard stuff like tequila and vodka

I used to be able to drink up to 8 pints a night or a bottle of martini no problems, after you have done this for a whie whats the point, been there like you said and have had the hangover and enough oh I cant remember getting home last night jokes.

Maybe its our age or having kids ! There seems more to life than whats in a bottle

So, for those who drink on here, how long could you give up the booze for?? Or if you dont drink do you mind being in a pub or somewhere where everyone is drunk???
A day!!
