I encouraged my friend to go to the tryouts for Philly Soulmates...she was torn between going and not going. I convinced her it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. So she went this weekend and was invited back to finals

She teaches English! As for me... I am listening to the Fukuoka bootleg right now. I am waiting on the Tokyo one to be uploaded! I went to the golf course and practiced for a couple hourse though. I built a model of a Whaling Boat and gave a presentation in English. We are reading Moby Dick.

...erm, isn't a runway just a long strecth of tarmac/asphalt with a few lights at the side? Doesn't sound hard to design, lolal

I can't think of anything interesting I've done though, lol
Um Neil - Try designing the runway as a structural slab over a huge underground electrical vault. Consider the dynamic loading of a 747 as it lands - each wheel load is enormous - and the vault underneath has to be waterproof so the slab can't crack or leak. Yup - challenging - especially when the contractor wants to go cheapo.

I was accused of writing death threats on my constitutional law folder today. By a girl who I described as, "Too whiny". Nothing has come of it.
There is nothing of the sort on that folder. All it's saying is how disruptive and irritating a certian percentage of the class is during class. So disruptive that it's hard for me to concentrate sometimes. There's lots of doodles, and some scribbles, and lots of "Cubby Kitty = Happy Kitty"s. I have my witnesses and my folder, in case I have to "testify" but I doubt it. I don't think its going anywhere.

That must really frustrate you as "cheapo" is the most common route people like to take. Who cares about safety and how this will hold up in the long run? I give you credit, because I would want to tell them off.
