Default Whats the weather like where you are?

Well us Brits LOVE to discuss the weather. At the moment I am sitting in my front room in Wavertree, Liverpool watching the cricket (Australia vs England). And its a lovely morning - a bit fresh about 7 degrees celcius. Apparently we're due another big storm in a few days like the one that caused the River Mersey to surge and flood most of The Wirral coastline and parts of Liverpool Pierhead.

Any crazy weather recently for anyone?

Where I live, it hasn't gotten above 10 degrees Fahrenheit for weeks.

Hope it wont be too bad!

We had a very bad storm last week and many schools were closed. The next day we had our christmas party at my company and started it on a boat which went across the alster here in Hamburg, which was fun .

It is ok now, just rainy and foggy and about 5 degrees Celsius.

At one point today, Ottawa was under windchill, frostbite and winter storm warnings. The high for tonight is -35 C with the windchill.

-35 with the windchill? Pfffft. That's normal here. Today it's 4 C (40F) but that's not normal. We are going through a chinook wind. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinook_wind

But last week it dropped to the coldest place on the planet with the wind chill being at below -40 C (which, ironically, is also -40 F) consistently for a few days in a row.

... Calgarians tend to brag about how cold it is, often. Good thing I don't live in Manitoba.

Canada has proper seasons. Absolutely freezing in the winter and baking hot in the summer. Similar climate to Russia.

Most Canadian cities are actually further south than the UK but it hardly snows here and isn't usually that cold. The whole country goes into meltdown and the media goes mental if we even get a light dusting of snow.

Currently cloudy and 9C

It has been in the -35 to -40 C range here all week.

My Southern Ontario roots can't handle that kind of cold LOL

Gonna be hot as tomorrow, 36 Celsius and getting hotter as the week goes on. Just wondering as well, how is the cricket going for ya, big fella? The urn is on its way back to its rightful home!
