Jim Bon Jovi's useless trivia number 3947: Superman was from Metropolis and not New Yoek you fool

I can't actually think of one defining moment but I guess having an Uncle in belfast meant I knew from a pretty young age that there was alot out there.

I don't ever really remember thinking the world was only my area. My great grandmother lived with us when I was younger and she was from Italy. She was always going to visit our family there and bringing back pictures. I guess that made me realize how big the world was. I also remember having this huge light up globe when I was young. That must have helped too.

Jim is right in this case! Although Metropolis was based on New York..

You do, but it's Metropolis. That's where Superman was from in the cartoon. It is based on New York though, that is why they filmed there.

As Jenn, I never thought the world was so small So I can't remember a time when I realised it was a huge world

I grew up in a city where everyone was from "the old country" whether they were Italian or Irish or Jamaican. Lots of the older folks would travel "home" to see relatives still in their native country so I also realized early on that the world was a big place. I think anyone living near New York City would have a similar experience though. People are from everywhere around here.
