Just English.

And a few words in French, from reading the back of cereal boxes!

Seriously, I did take French in school for 4 years, but for what they taught us it was a total waste of time. I truly admire people who speak more than one language. Someday I'd like to learn French, especially since I live in a bilingual country, but my city is totally English, so it would be very hard to practice what I learned.

I have my certificate in the French language, the result of taking it from grade 1 all the way thru to grade 13. I hardly get a chance to use it here at home. I should have gone to school in Ottawa or Lennoxville (which is in Quebec). I picked it up when I was in France last year and was very pleased with how much I remembered!

Good for you. I only had French for grades 7 to 10 (I dropped it in grade 11) and I learned nothing. I've been to Montreal (which of course you can totally get by in English) and don't understand a word anyone says to me. Even with my job I sometimes have to call Quebec and they start speaking in French, and I am always like "yes, hello", and then they immediately start speaking English. It really makes me feel inferior that I'm unilingual.

English and German. I also had 2 semester Russian, but besides beer and table, I don't recall much. However, it taught me to read cryllic which comes handy when getting lost in Greece and you need to be able to read the traffic signs seriously

English,
a little Spanish (from 3 years of high school),
a little German (from 3 years of living in Heidelberg and Stuttgart),
a little French (3 months and discovered that I kept getting it confused with German and Spanish),
a little Welsh (from my grandmother)
and a little Japanese (from martial arts classes and a good friend),
oh, and a little Italian (from - well if I told ya I'd have to kill ya - - j/k).

English, of course, and I've been studying German for two years in school.
