war is good for the economy and technology...

inadvertantly the winners always prosper and so in one way we all advocate war if we are willing to accept the benefits it brings with it

I hate him... he think he can do what the **** he want's. As some of you mentioned above he will go to war even if every county in the whole world was against him, he don't care!
does you americans want a 52 state? because if you don't I think you should pic another president. I don't say that Saddam is a nice guy, I hate him too, but you can't just run around in you big war ships shoot everything that is bad! that is not how the world should be...
Saddam is not a threat to day, of course he has weapons and things like that, but which country should he use them on? the us? now, why would he do that? he doesn't gain anything on war today... especially not against the US!

Wow...that was um...volatile. Bush doesn't even listen to the Americans...why would he listen to the rest of the world? He's well aware that there is fierce opposition to this war, but he is banking on it all coming out in his favor just like it did with his father and the Gulf War. Americans were opposed to the Gulf War, too...George Sr. went anyway, and it came out in his favor at the end. The economy is what did him in for a second term. It's not so easy to just "pick another president". We have to wait until the next election, which will be in November 2004. Until then we're all stuck with him. Don't worry, once he gets tired of playing with Saddam he'll move on to something else.
Yes he will! probably some of the asian countries, for exampel south Korea... (and yes, he should bomb them!)
I will have to ask, will Bush become re-elected? I really hope not! bring back clinton!!!

Clinton sucked too. No offense or anything. But he really was no prize himself.

No, he just wasn't vocal about his stupidity.

Pre-emptive Wars have never been successful in the long run

Hi:
Here's my 2 cents.
Bill Clinton started attacking Iraq to get the media off his shabby personal life. There's not that much there to attack since the guy in office before him bombed Iraq into the stone age in the gulf war. The Kuwaitis drill oil out from under Iraq and when Iraq attacks, we attack them (never mind the fact that in an interview we promised assistance to Saddam). We used something like 38,000 pounds of DU (depleted Uranium) weapons in the gulf war. In some places the cancer and birth defect rate is up somewhere around 300% due to radiation. Did we come back and pick all that crap up? No. We bombed their water, electrical, and gas lines into dust, and now withhold medical supplies because we say that Saddam can use them to make Bio weapons. Big whoop. 5000 people there are dying per month of stuff like dysentary (treatable), and we're withholding the medicine to take care of the problem we caused, because he might make weapons that we already have. And that's the problem before Clinton. He attacked Iraq in such force that an estimate puts civilian casualties at 1.4 million. He put back any progress they might have made in cleaning up our mess. Did you know the very first target hit in his little pre-emptive war was a building with a daycare. You want to know what he said? He said they were using their children as shields and that we shouldn't be detered by that. Never mind the fact that the daycare in the Oklahoma (I just misspelled that) City building was regarded as a national tragedy.
Who says Saddam can't have weapons of mass destruction. I don't like the man. I think he's a cold blooded killer who has no business frying potatoes for a fastfood franchise much less running a country. We have all the weapons we say he has, plus enough nukes to plunge the world into nuclear winter something like 72 times. We also have used our nuclear weapons, so we know we can't be trusted with them. I've got an idea: Iraq can inspect our weapons (must not hide anything) and then we have the right to inspect theirs.
This war is about oil and Bush getting in good with Daddy, since Daddy wasn't able to clean up the mess last time around.
And yeah, Bush'll move on when he gets tired of Iraq. Probably to Korea or Iran. Then we do the whole dang thing all over again.

This is just my opinion, I hope I haven't offended anyone.

Adrian
