the Bochum of Germany? what has Bochum EVER achieved in football?

Leeds is a legend. They played several European Cup finals and I think they have even won some. It's just bad management that put them where they are now... in the 3rd league I guess...

and who the heck is RKC?

We have never won the European cup(I think we won the other two Euro cups way back when), we did really well a few years ago getting to the Semi finals though. We WILL be back mark my words!!!

I wouldnt mind Liverpool winning it this year, I think they could do it too. They are out of the Premiership race and FA cup so can concentrate on it.

With European CUP I actually meant UEFA opr CUp Winner Cup.

To the former "Champions Cup", now Champions League, you made it once to the final, but you had no chance against the likes of Beckenbauer, Müller or Breitner...the days of the Great BAYERN MÜNCHEN...we won it 3 times on a row then ...simply brillance.

If I'd compare it to any German Team than Leeds would be like Borussia Mönchengladbach. They have 3 UEFA Cups, played 2 Champion Cup finals but are playing against relegation this season. They're not quite as bad as Leeds but on their way...

Paris 75

Yeah yeah...I read about it as well. As far as I know, Leeds got a 3 year ban for its fans ripping the stadium apart after the game (what was ure dad doing Carli??). But come on, looking at what squad Bayern had I seriously doubt anyone could have beaten them. It was basically 80% of the team who had won teh World Championship one year before. The greatest goalie, the greatest defender, one of the greatest midfielder and the greatest striker of the time were all part of the same team...

I'm quite satisfied with Bayern's contemporary performances. I started being a fan in 1995...since then:

Uefa Cup 1996
Champions League Final 1999
Champions League Victory 2001
Champions League Semifinalists 1995, 1998, 2000

German Champions 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006

...that's quite an achievement...I think only Madrid and Milan are better

And look what's happened to them of late!

Form is temporary and even the 'greats' fall eventually.

Saying that though, if you get to a certain stage where you have so much at stake financially in football that to fall from grace would actually cost more than to buy yourself out of trouble, most BIG clubs are probably beyond falling apart completely (as long as you don't do something silly like, ooo..... I don't know - sell your club to an American in debt up to his eyeballs! I'm hoping this doesn't come back to bite us in the ass one day!)
