Someone who defines himself as a rocker, is in fact alienating himself from such a group, as Rockers... by their very nature... r rebels... who do things differently. Hence by conforming to the ideals & stereotypes of a Rocker...

U infact....

Don't Rock!!!! :P

says a skinhead

here goes...

they are rebellious, but not against each other, for there is strength in numbers...

just as a Christian doesn't say "i'm not being a non-existent-loving mortal if God loves more than just ME" a rocker says "here's my buddies... let's get together and teach those idiots a lesson who keep saying things about us when we're in small numbers"

read the lyrics to Manowar or Dark Avenger

It's just a simple way of elevating themselves above everyone else by stereotyping everyone with short hair into an inferior group, either because they are too immature to realise that it is personality that counts, and not appearance, or they are immensly insecure about their own existence.

Then again they could just be joking!!!

On the other hand, I am drunk and will say and do what ever the f*ck I want!! MWAHAHAHAHA

Remember, Strive for excellence, exceed yourself, love your friends, speak the truth, and you, like Mike and Tom, will most definitely ROCK!!!!

Default long hair- my point of view

i grew up in the sixties and seventies and most people grew long hair as it was fashionable then, and just another hint of rebellion among the young. I got my hair cut when I joined the Army but it didn't bother me .
Yes, the great rock bands of the 70's had long hair, so did Bob Marley who was a great reggae singer.
Perrsonally I think it's sad that Let it rock and Mike McCrock want to live in the past by seeing bands like Deep Purple, Whitesnake now etc who are all now past their peak, I enloyed punk rock when it came out in 1977 and never thought there was a problem seeing punks create their own identity. At least those punk bands broke up when they were past it.
Personally since let it rock and Mcrock were both born in the 80's , it amazes me how they think they know all about the 60's and 70's.

In the 80s nearly everyone had long hair, even the suits !!!!! You looked weird if you didnt have long hair. You would have looked pretty stupid trying to head bang with short hair!!!!!!!!!!. Not so much head banging going about now unless you are committed .

THese days if you have long you stand out. I have really long hair and have never been to the hairdressers, longer hair is just easier to trim

In answer to the question, in the 80s you needed long hair to rock, now you dont, we can all rock to our own tune

Dawn

My tutor grew up in the late 1940s and he's probably the leading voice in the world on Indonesian History (both present and particularly during the Napoleonic Wars)

I still love 8os and early 90s music. But i don't think u need big hair to rock. I still like Bon jovi's Keep the faith ear hair style & music. Don't u ?.

And one more thing I use to have big hair my self around 6 or 7 years back. Now i have little hair left .

I just wanna know what will Let it rock do if he loose his hair, ware wig?.
