Why does Derek still feel the need to post here ?

Why is there a post aimed at Derek Bliss havent people got anything better to do!

KRB was some arrogant person that critisised everything the band did!

I actually agree 100% with Dawn's comment.

I'm going neutral here. This is merely analytical since I don't wish to take sides.

I think the reason so many people hate Derek is that...

1.) He doesn't use quotes and never refers to anyone by name. That tends to confuse people or make them think that he's lumping everyone on this board together.

2.) He constantly refers to posts as e-mails thus making him sound less credible.

3.) He continues to make remarks about how he is arguing with people who had been in diapers and couldn't use the toilet at the time when Bon Jovi went platinum for the first time. Other comments towards the younger members of this board include "go home child, your mother is calling you."

4.) It seems as though Derek's mission is to "give aid to the helpless." If some poor soul has questions about lyrics, etc. he helps out. I've seen him clarify this for several people- including myself. Since there are few poor souls that post on this board, Derek has taken it upon himself to defend the band he loves (that does not have a voice on this board and is therefore helpless). He basically bashes people who bash Bon Jovi. (I'm using the term "bash" a bit loosely, mind you.)

5.) He has a sort of high-and-mighty air about him. The fact that he has been with the band from the very start may or may not contribute to that. I think this attitude can be summed up in the phrase "I'll take the high road- unlike some people."

6.) People tend to mis-interperate his posts which gets him miffed. His response to a mis-interpreted post is, "you can wallow in your ignorance and read my post the wrong way, but this is what I was REALLY saying..." And then there are the times when he mis-interperates posts himself. Usually they are good-humo(u)red posts which he takes as insults which (again) get him miffed. This usually gets him into the high-and-mighty act again (see #5) and he tells the other posters about how they are resorting to petty insults, etc.

So you see, good people, Derek is as human as any of you. His objectives are just a bit different. Perhaps, deep down he really likes this board. Perhaps he is on a mission to set people straight. Perhaps he knows how hated he is and wants to annoy the heck out of anybody and everybody. Who knows? There is an aura of mystery about him since he never explains himself. We don't truly know where he's from, how old he is, what he does, or what his favorite Bon Jovi album is. All we can do is guess.

He posts here because it's his right. He hasn't done anything extremely offensive or in bad taste to be banned. I could start a post like this about you because I don't appreciate half the comments you make either, but I choose not to. I just let you have your say and leave it at that. So let Derek have his.
