Default Why I hate winks

There's something about people "winking" on here that annoys me. It would work once in a while, but maybe this is a cultural thing (ie I don't have an incessant urge to click the emoticon and put a wink at the end of everything I say). It annoys me because people might say something like:

"I bought the new album today " - why the wink?

"Have a nice weekend " Why the wink unless they know something we don't?

"I'm going to make some food?" - does the wink mean that you're not really going to make some food? In which case, why should we care one way or another?

If you want to use it in context then that is fine, but some people end every bloody sentence they say with a wink and it annoys the hell out of me.

There is something sinister and two-faced about using the wink icon all the time. I find it funny that there is a post asking where I am when I come back here after 2 weeks, and then funnier that noone cares anyway. But I like that because why should people care since it is just a community?

Winks annoy me though and I would do away with them if I can. It's like somebody is saying to you:

"Don't break a leg " - meaning do break a leg
or "Break a leg " - meaning "i don't want it to appear like I wish you any harm but at the same time I'm hoping to God you break a leg"

And then as for any of you who reply and say "you are looking into this too deeply" then why bloody use the wink emoticon in the first place? If it has no particular use why not end every sentence with . Annoys me.
