Its to do with tradition sure but think to yourself, what does the head of state do!? She is head of state, Head of the Commenwealth, Head of goodness knows how many countries.

I saw the Opening Ceremony the bit which your on about, and you are wrong saying "the queen couldnt even come down to get the flalme off Kirsty" Your saying that the Queen and possibly anyone in the Royal family thinks of themselves as some high and mighty person, you are totally wrong! Last year at the Golden Jubliee, the Queen went to the Childrens Hospital in Manchester and took time to walk round and see what was happening. She may not have done this at the Commenwealth Games but in the whole of this Jubilee she visited sick, homeless from every walk of life.
And to all you people who judge the Royal family for doing nothing normal, take a look at Prince William, that says it all.
