choc what's the difference between a college and a uni in germany? here we have english and greek colleges and you go there after you have finished high school but you have to pay a lot and the certificate isn't very powerfull. in universities you get after you have finished high school but only if you have had good marks while at school and if you have written well enough (at least for the good universities) in some exams (which are difficult and long ). also you don't pay in the universities.
i'm interested to know how it works and what happens in other countries, too.

In Germany (depending which area you live in) you have to go to school for 12 or 13 years. where i live its 13 years. so usually you are out when you're 18-19 years old. but i had to do one more year because i spent one year in england and they didnt accept it

Its so frustrating, all of the study! 7 years of primary school, 6 years of high school (something like Gymnasium, if i spelt that right, i did German all through high school but can't remember much 2 years later). Now i''m 1.5 years into an accounting degree, with another 1.5 to go. Hopefully when i apply for the IBL (Industry Based Learning), i can escape from homework at least for a little while.
