Someone asked me a question today.....

"Why are all the great guys either, married, too young, or gay?"

Hmmm, well from an older women's viewpoint I'll speak from my own generation and from watching my kids generation.

Most guys that truly LIKE women (and I don't mean just sexually or as a sexual putdown) tend to get married rather early because they have bonded with a particular woman who appreciates the fact that they are liked and respected - not just a possession.

The too young guys are obvious - they just need some time to mature - not their fault.

Gay guys can also LIKE women but obviously it's not sexual and that sort of relationship is not one most women are looking for.

Then there are the vast majority of guys that due to culture pressure or some other reason don't really LIKE women. They like sex but they don't really LIKE the company of woman. Most guys prefer to hang out with other guys and want women around only for sex. On this board you see comments from one guy to another about not "acting like a girl" They think that's the worst sort of putdown - as if acting like a girl is the worst thing anyone could do. Well for the 50% of us that were born girls it's kind of hard NOT to act like a girl. And if you are with a guy that thinks that acting like a girl is a putdown - he is not great company. Hence the comment - all the good guys are either married, too young or gay.

No it is just that most of the girls are blind.

Me and my exgirlfriend were talking about getting married before we split up.I was a bit uncomfortable with that but was willing to do it.It is now that I realize how crazy I was.Marriage is a big responsability and most guys aren't willing to take it, so the person who said that is just not looking to hard or maybe winds up with the wrong company.

I guess the good guys are out there. it's by luck/chance that you meet them. Then you have to deal with the immature aholes along the way

How old is too young?

It all depends on you and how you feel about it.
For me personally too young should be when It's illegal for you to be with them.
For example I was with a 36 year old women not to long ago and neither of us had a problem with it, but I was in a club the other day and my buddies introduced me to this girl and when I asked her how old she was she said 15.I was outta there as soon as possible.but as I said befor It all depends on You and your personal taste some won't go more than a 3 year difference between age and there are some that really don't care.

Great guys are out there and are often completely ignored by women! They are the one's that will always stick by you through thick and thin and you can always count on - except you only want them as 'friends'! It's a fact that a lot of women date the 'dangerous' guy who is unpredictable and adds an element of surprise to a relationship, even though this is obviously not the best basis for long-term committment!

This is the greatest mystery of life! I never meet any great guys. I'm not hung up on looks at all. I find it hard to meet anyone who can carry on an interesting conversation.
