I agree as well. I don't see anything wrong with links to humorous Ebay auctions.

What's funny to you might be a sales gimmick to someone else. What if was Russ who wanted to sell his soul under an Ebay username that we don't recognize as him? While you all might think it's funny, he might just be trying to up the price.

but consistency is NOT applied here

I don't think anybody would care if it was Russ who wanted to sell his soul (other than we'd worry about his emotional well-being), it's when it gets out of hand is when things get weird.

Oh puh-lease. A mod can view the auction and see if it's a mere funny thing or a real auction. I case there's doubt about this, I'm sure everyone would fully understand that the thread will be removed. But selling a soul doesn't sound very serious to me.
