I suggest you reread the thread because you are wrong about the timing. You're also wrong about my taking this personally or being offended. I'm not offended, maybe a little irritated that people are making a mountain out of a molehill, but not offended. I'm answering the questions. Beyond what I or another mod can answer, she has the right to go to a higher authority to voice her complaints about the policy. I didn't create it, but I do remove links like I'm supposed to do when I find them. I, nor the other mods, will stop removing links based on what anyone but Peter says.

I thought it must be a new rule. Peter makes the rules and I know as mods you have to follow them.

It can be difficult to implement sudden new rules, board users are bound to question them when they have always be able to post ebay links before.

Perhaps new rules should be announced or at least a list of rules posted up . I have suggested this previously to Peter.... Anyway we all know now.

Becky, Maria might have been a little off when it comes to the time frame, but she was right when she said I just voiced my opinion. I don't think I held you or any other mod responsible for this rule, I just stated that I find it stupid. That's all.

Alex, the implied tone of your voicing your opinion came across as complaints, so I directed you to a higher authority. It's as simple as that.

Then someone else became involved and declared that I'm taking it as a personal attack, which I was not. What Maria said is something I did take personally. She, afterall, ventured to declare the innermost workings of my psyche. Even though she was wrong, she still assumed what I was thinking and feeling and stated it as if it were a fact. That was personal. Your complaints were not and I did not respond to them as if they were.
