Yes its that two weeks of the year when I watch tennis. Anyone else been watching it??? I consider myself pretty patriotic but I can't be arsed supporting Tim Henman anymore he fails to deliver every year, it took him 5 sets to beat an unknown.

Andy Murrey does look a good prospect though. I reckon Rafter will easily defend his title this year.

I hope Davenport does well in the womens but as long as none of the venus sisters win it i'll be happy

Nope can't go tennis. I try to avoid wimbledon as much as possible but the papers won't shut up about Murray on account of him being Scottish. imagine that, a Scottish guy who doesn't live off a chippy and binge drinks several nights a week actually being succesful on a world stage. I'd imagine our footballers could learn a thing or two from him.

This might be the very first thread on this board about tennis that I am aware of. I wanted to post about Roland Garros several times, but well...

Haven't seen much of Wimbledon yet, I was kinda shocked that Justine is already out. I am with Carli about the Williams sisters.
I don't see Sharapova defend her title.

Federer is my bet as well. Henman, yeah, I always have to think that he wants it too much in his head, so that he has already lost when he enters the court.

Both my hubby and I are tennis fans and try to follow every single competition. But Wimbledon is especial. My hubby is taping me some of the matches I can't watch when I am at work. We are planning on going one day next week and try to get tickets on the same day, last year we went on People's Sunday and the atmosphere was fantastic.

I was hoping Justine could win this time but lost in the first round, really a bummer!. In the men's side, Federer is the best and there is no doubt about it, although I may like someone else winning this time. Perhaps my fave one: Roddick as I don't think any of the Argentineans will make it to the final.

Is wimbledon really big all around the world and as important as the papers and BBC make it out or is that all just bullshit to make it sound better and important?

Wimbledon is great, shame to Justin out so early

Greg had a good shot today, but johanson was pretty awesome, hadnt heard of him until now strangely.

I like the big guy, Ivo Karlovicz, not happy he went so early, would have been nice to see him play Roddick again.

All the girls who scream CMON TIIIIIIM, drive me nuts! Mens tennis should be banned. Female tennis is all good though. I love the noises they tend to make more than anything! :P
